EIRIN COMMISSION OF COUNCILOR
The commission is composed of 1 president, 1 vice president and 3 councilors, and holds its regular meetings monthly. The president of EIRIN is designated with full responsibilities including execution of its policy, category decisions and appointment of the examiners. The Advisory Panel on Children’s Film Viewing falls under the purview of the president. The commission makes executive decisions regarding film classification issues. Currently the councilors are as follows:

Dr. Junichi Hamada: |
Appointed as the sixth president of EIRIN(Film Classification and Rating Organization) in April, 2017. Being a former president of the University of Tokyo since 2009 till 2015 and managing director of the BPO(Broadcasting Ethics & Program Improvement Organization) since 2015, Dr. Hamada was one of the councilors of EIRIN since April, 2016. |
